Main port, located in the west of the island. It is embedded at the bottom of a large baybordered by a beautiful sandy beach and surrounded by ocher and arid mountains which rise to more than five hundred meters. Kamarès is a small, growing resort. Many buildings are built on the side of rock on the hills climbing around the bay. They thus form three districts: that of the port, the beach and that of Agia Marina , like the chapel of the same name, on the other side of the bay facing the port. This village has excellent tourist infrastructure. You will find friendly taverns, cafes and discos on the seafront in the shade of tamarisk trees, and numerous shops, many of whichpottery workshops. It also has a good bus service and “caiques taxi” for other beaches. Kamarès , a bustling holiday resort during the summer months, is ideal for a pleasant and trouble-free vacation.
