Main port, located in the south-east of the island, at the bottom of a deep indented bay and bordered by a beautiful fine sand beach which extends for two kilometers. Well sheltered from the winds, it offers no particular interest, other than being friendly and nonchalant with its taverns on the beach, in a green setting where reed bushes, vegetable gardens and tamarisk trees alternate successively. Thanks to the boom in tourism, it has become a lively place where hotels, restaurants, cafes, discos and shops of all kinds have opened. In the morning, the fishermen sell their fish directly on the quays while the donkeys with their baskets loaded with provisions wait for their respective masters in the shade of the tamarisk trees. It is also the starting point for most hiking tours. Public services: bank-bus.
